Two month grieving poem
I wrote this poem for Eli on what would have been his second month birthday. As each month passes, I can't believe how quickly time is going, yet how my life just seems to have stopped.
Two months since I said goodbye. Oh, how I love you so.
Two months; many tears I've cried. Why did you have to go?
Two months. My precious child, I can scarcely believe.
Two months and my heart still sighs. Why did God make you leave?
Two months. Today is strange. A quiet house I have.
Two months. What I wouldn't give to truly hear you laugh.
Two months. "Move on already; you've taken enough time."
Two months? Move on? It feels like such a crime.
Two months. By now you must be dancing in the light.
Two months of resting in my savior's arms so tight.
Two months. A selfish mom just really wants you here.
Two months in Heaven with Jesus; I know you are safe, my dear.
